Strong

When she got the news, she didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.
She didn't know how to react.
She just felt numb.
She somehow felt emotionless.
It's funny how one word can change everything in her life. Now,everyone is waiting for her reaction. Just watching and waiting. And she, she just stands there, staring into space; not knowing what to do or what to say. Slowly, tears began to form in her eyes, as she looks at her aunt. Quickly wiping it away, she said, "everything's gonna be alright" and she smiled. She knows, she has to be strong, she knows that she has to be the pillar as everything is crumbling down. Behind her smile which she is portraying, she is crying her heart out. Her heart aches as somehow she feels that she might lose her dad forever. "Will your dad survive this?" her aunt asked her. even though she didn't know how to answer this, she just wanted to make her aunt feel better so she replied with a small white lie that could also be hinting of the truth. She said "Yes, of course he would, now you don't worry about it." With this, she quickly excuses herself from the tense living room as she felt the tears brimming in her eyes. She vanishes into her room and finally shedding the tears she'd been holding back.
The tears of fear.
The tears of anger.
The tears of confusion.
The tears of sadness.
She fell to her knees and started praying because...no matter what, she knows God would never forsake her. Everything happens for a reason, she presumes. She takes a deep breath, stands up and makes a decision. She decides, that no matter what, she would
